Product Description

Twenty years ago, Cort® joined hands with the world - famous luthier Rob Elrick of Elrick Bass Guitars® to develop a Cort® version of the ‘Elrick e - volution Bass’, which quickly became a hit among serious bass players. Now, to mark its 30th anniversary, Elrick Bass Guitars® has once again partnered with Cort® to introduce the new Cort® Elrick NJS basses. The NJS, standing for New Jazz Standard, are modern J - bass styled bass guitars. They come with unique features like an angled headstock, 24 frets with a zero fret, a ‘heel - less’ body design for easy treble access, and Voiced Tone VTB - ST pickups paired with a Bartolini® preamp. Over the years, these basses have won the hearts of both aspiring and experienced bass players. Their innovative design and excellent playability are bound to delight high - end bass enthusiasts. Specifications: Body Material is Alder; Fretboard Material is Hard Maple with a 12' (305mm) radius; Scale Length is 34' (86mm); there are 24 frets; Fretboard Inlays are White Pearloid Block; Pickups are Voiced Tone VTB - ST for both Bridge and Neck; Electronics feature the Bartolini® Elrick NJS Special Preamp; the Bridge is MetalCraft M4; Pickguard is White Pearloid; Strings are D'Addario® EXL165; Tuning Machines are Hipshot® Ultralite; and the Hardware Finish is Chrome.

Using your Cort Rob Elrick Signature NJS4 bass guitar is a breeze. Just sit down, hold it comfortably, and start strumming the strings. You can adjust the tone and volume using the controls on the bass. For a warmer sound, try using the neck pickup, and for a brighter sound, switch to the bridge pickup. When you're done playing, always put your bass back in its case to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep your bass in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Wipe down the strings with a clean cloth after each use to prevent rust. Once in a while, check the tuning machines to make sure they're working properly and the strings are at the right tension. If you notice any issues with the frets or pickups, it's a good idea to take it to a professional for maintenance.
