Product Description

Since its debut in 1964, the Mustang Bass has remained one of Fender's most iconic bass designs. It has been in the hands of famous bassists from The Rolling Stones to My Chemical Romance. This updated short - scale model combines the power of Fender's well - known P Bass® and J Bass® pickups with the classic Mustang design. It delivers a flexible and thunderous bass tone, with a smooth playing feel and a cool look. Specifications include: a Mustang® Bass body shape made of Alder with a Polyester finish; a 'C' shaped neck; a Pau Ferro fretboard with a 9.5' (241 mm) radius; 19 Medium - Jumbo frets with white dot inlays; Vintage - Style Single - Coil Jazz Bass® pickups at the bridge and middle; a 4 - Saddle Standard bridge; a 3 - ply black pickguard; Fender® USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel strings (.045 -.105 Gauges, PN 0737250406); Fender® Vintage - Style tuning machines; and chrome hardware finish.

Using this Fender Mustang Bass is a breeze. Just plug it into your amplifier, tune the strings using the vintage - style tuning machines, and you're ready to play. When you're done playing, always unplug the bass from the amp to avoid any electrical issues. For maintenance, wipe down the body and fretboard regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep it clean. If the strings start to sound dull or lose their tension, it's time to replace them with new Fender® USA 7250M Nickel Plated Steel strings. Also, keep the bass in a cool, dry place to prevent any damage to the wood or hardware. And don't forget to check the tuning periodically, especially if you're traveling with it.
