Product Description

Since its debut in 1964, the Mustang Bass has been a classic in Fender's lineup, loved by bassists from The Rolling Stones to My Chemical Romance. This updated short - scale version combines the power of P Bass® and J Bass® pickups with the traditional Mustang design. It offers a flexible and thunderous bass tone, a smooth playing feel, and a cool look. The body is made of alder with a gloss polyester finish. The 'C' shape neck and maple fretboard with a 9.5' (241 mm) radius provide great playability. It has 22 medium jumbo frets with black dot inlays. The pickups are a vintage - style single - coil Jazz Bass® at the bridge and a vintage - style split single - coil Precision Bass® in the middle. The 4 - saddle standard bridge, 3 - ply black/white/black pickguard, Fender® USA 7250M nickel - plated steel strings, standard open - gear tuning machines, and nickel/chrome hardware finish complete the package.

Using this Fender Player Mustang PJ Bass is a breeze. Just tune it up using the standard open - gear tuning machines to get the right pitch. You can experiment with the P Bass and J Bass pickups to create different tones. When you play, use your fingers or a pick according to your preference. For maintenance, keep it in a dry place. After playing, wipe the strings with a clean cloth to remove sweat and dirt. Check the frets regularly for any signs of wear. If you're not using it for a long time, loosen the strings a bit to relieve the tension on the neck. And don't forget to change the strings periodically for the best sound.
