Product Description

The Cort Gold series stands out with its Aged to Vintage (ATV) treatment. This process lets the Grade A+ solid Sitka spruce top mature and develop a better sound over time. Similar to torrefaction, ATV gives the Gold - D8 a rich, open tone. It's bright yet natural, with a strong and warm midrange, thanks to the solid Pau Ferro back and sides. A sonically enhanced UV finish safeguards the guitar and its tonal quality. Now, besides the Natural Gloss option, it comes in a new Light Burst color. Specifications include a Dreadnought body shape, torrefied solid Sitka Spruce (Master Grade) top, solid Pau Ferro back and sides, an Ebony fretboard, a 25.3' scale length, 20 frets, Gold Custom MOP fretboard inlays, an Ebony bridge with Ebony pins, D'Addario® EXP16 Light strings, Deluxe Vintage Gold tuning machines, and a Deluxe Soft - Side Case.

Using your Cort Gold - D8 - LB Acoustic Guitar is easy. First, make sure the strings are properly tuned using the Deluxe Vintage Gold tuning machines. Just turn the pegs gently until you reach the right pitch. When you play, use your fingers or a pick to pluck the D'Addario® EXP16 Light strings. The guitar's Dreadnought body shape gives it a great projection. As for maintenance, keep the guitar in its Deluxe Soft - Side Case when not in use to protect it from dust and minor bumps. Wipe the body regularly with a soft cloth to keep the sonically enhanced UV finish looking good. Don't expose the guitar to extreme temperatures or humidity as it can damage the solid Sitka spruce top and Pau Ferro back and sides. And check the strings regularly; if they start to sound dull, it's time to replace them.
