Product Description

Kevin Shields, a pioneer in shaping effect - laden guitar tones, defined the alternative rock sound of the '80s and '90s with his iconic fuzz walls. His go - to was the original Fender® Blender effect pedal, valued for its dynamic response and intense fuzz. After over four years of joint development, Fender and Shields have revived this 1970s classic and added new features, introducing the all - new Fender Shields Blender. This pedal captures the tone of Shields' 1970s Fender Blender, with its circuit carefully traced from his personal fuzz box. It offers new ways to control and blend the fuzz voice using four easy - access footswitches. You can blend two footswitchable fuzz channels with your clean signal or a suboctave fuzz. The sag footswitch adds unique sputtering and ducking effects based on your playing intensity. Key features include: an original vintage Fender circuit with new controls, two channels and three octaves of blendable analog fuzz tones, a footswitchable voltage sag circuit responsive to picking, a 1970s - inspired chassis with top - mounted jacks, true - bypass switching, and it can be powered by a 9 - Volt Battery or a 9VDC center negative AC adapter (not included).

Using the Fender Shields Blender is a breeze. First, power it up either with a 9 - Volt battery or a 9VDC center negative AC adapter (you'll need to get the adapter separately). Once it's powered on, you can start exploring the two footswitchable fuzz channels. Each channel has its own level control, so you can adjust how much fuzz you want. You can blend the fuzz with your clean signal or with a beefy suboctave fuzz. Just use the footswitches to switch between different settings. The sag footswitch is really cool. The effects it creates depend on how hard you play, so play around with your dynamics to get different sounds. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pedal clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you're using a battery, change it regularly to ensure good performance. Also, when you're not using the pedal for a long time, it's a good idea to remove the battery to prevent any damage.
