Product Description

The Focusrite ISA One Desktop Microphone Preamp is at the core of the ISA range. It features a Lundahl input transformer, based on the original ISA110 circuit that has been used in Focusrite designs for 30 years. This input transformer gives the sound a unique character that can't be replicated. It's perfect for use with classic microphones. What sets this preamp apart is its four carefully - selected impedances. You can match your microphone to the input in various ways, either to bring out the special features of a classic mic or to achieve a completely transparent, modern sound. Whether you're an artist, engineer, or producer, you'll love the versatility of the ISA One. It has a front - panel DI input with low/high impedance switching, an amplifier output, and its own feed to the optional A/D converter and a separate rear - panel XLR output. Features include a classic Focusrite ISA series transformer - based microphone preamplifier, a flexible independent DI channel, switchable impedance, a dedicated insert point, an optional stereo 192kHz A - D converter, a Lundahl LL1538 Input Transformer, and a backlit VU meter with variable calibration. Specifications cover gain ranges for mic, line, and instrument, signal - to - noise ratios, frequency responses, high - pass filter details, etc.

Using the Focusrite ISA One Desktop Microphone Preamp is quite straightforward. First, connect your microphone to the appropriate input. You can use the four impedance settings to match the microphone to the input and get the sound you want. If you're using an instrument, connect it to the front - panel DI input and switch between low and high impedance as needed. For the amplifier output and the optional A/D converter, just follow the provided cables and connections. When it comes to the high - pass filter, it's set at a fixed 75Hz. You can use it to reduce low - frequency noise. As for maintenance, keep the preamp in a clean and dry place. Regularly check the connections to make sure they're secure. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you notice any issues, refer to the user manual or contact Focusrite support.
