Product Description

Few musicians in music history have had the power to transform the industry almost overnight and still shape music culture three decades after their prime. Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana bandmates burst onto the scene in the early '90s. They blended raw, heavy tones, punk - inspired energy, and catchy melodies, creating a sound that quickly won millions of fans and made grunge and alternative rock a mainstream genre. Kurt was often seen playing various Fender guitars. His Fender Jaguar® and Mustang® are the most iconic, thanks to their use during the “Nevermind” tour and in the “Smells Like Teen Spirit” music video. In 1993, Kurt designed the Jag - Stang® by combining his favorite features of both guitars, with help from the Fender Custom Shop. To mark the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s classic album “Nevermind,” this left - handed Jag - Stang comes with the features that made it Kurt’s go - to instrument. The alder body gives a punchy tone, perfect for powerful chords. The 24” short - scale reduces string tension, making it easy to play. The 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard with a maple neck feels great and won't tire your hands when you're chording. The vintage - style single - coil and custom humbucking pickups are ideal for recreating Kurt’s classic sounds. The Mustang slider switches let you choose from four different settings for a variety of in - or out - of - phase tones. Using your Fender Kurt Cobain Jag - Stang Left - handed Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, plug it into an amplifier. You can use the Mustang slider switches to find the tone you like - it has four different settings. For powerful chords, the punchy tone from the alder body will give you a great sound. And because of the 24” short - scale, it's easy on your fingers. When it comes to maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or fingerprints. If the strings start to sound dull, it's time to change them. You can use the Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel strings that come with the guitar. Also, make sure to store your guitar in the deluxe gig bag when you're not using it. This will protect it from scratches and damage. And when you're tuning the guitar, use the standard cast/sealed tuning machines carefully to keep it in tune.
