Product Description

In 1950, Fender introduced the very first solid - body electric guitar, the Esquire. It had an elegant single - cutaway shape, an adjustable 3 - saddle bridge, and a unique lap - steel pickup at the bridge. This guitar set the standard for all solid - body electric guitars and hinted at the success of its famous sibling, the Telecaster. The 70th Anniversary Esquire features a roasted pine body. Pine is a lightweight wood that produces a punchy and complex tone, and the roasting treatment enhances its resonance. It also has a lacquer finish, a thick 'U' - shaped neck, a Tim Shaw - designed Esquire bridge pickup inspired by an original '50 Esquire from the Songbirds Museum. There's a special anniversary neck plate and a tweed case. Production of this anniversary model is limited to 2020 only. Specifications include a Telecaster® body shape, roasted pine body material, gloss nitrocellulose lacquer body finish, '50 Broadcaster® 'U' neck shape, maple fretboard, 7.25' (184.1 mm) fretboard radius, 25.5' (648 mm) scale length, 21 frets, black dot fretboard inlays, a Tim Shaw designed Esquire bridge pickup, a 3 - saddle American Vintage Strings - Through - Body Tele® bridge with solid barrel steel saddles, Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel strings (.010 -.046 gauges), a 1 - ply white pickguard, vintage - style tuning machines, nickel/chrome hardware finish, and a deluxe hardshell case.

Using your Fender 70th Anniversary Esquire Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, make sure your guitar is properly tuned using the vintage - style tuning machines. Plug it into your amplifier and you're ready to start playing. When playing, be gentle with the 3 - saddle bridge to keep it in good condition. As for maintenance, keep your guitar in the deluxe hardshell case when not in use to protect it from scratches and bumps. Wipe down the body with a soft cloth after each use to remove fingerprints and dirt. The fretboard can be cleaned with a specialized fretboard cleaner to keep it in good shape. Also, change the Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel strings regularly to maintain good sound quality. Since this is a limited - edition model, handle it with extra care to preserve its value.
