Using the Fender Player II Stratocaster is a breeze. First, make sure you've tuned it up using the ClassicGear™ tuning machines. Then, use the 5 - way blade switch to find the sound you like, whether it's a clean sound from the neck pickup or a more aggressive one from the bridge. When you're playing, the smooth neck and fingerboard should allow your fingers to glide easily. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry place to avoid damage to the wood. Wipe it down after each use with a soft cloth to keep the finish looking good. If you're not using it for a long time, loosen the strings a bit to relieve the tension on the neck. Also, check the tuning regularly, especially before a performance or practice session.
