That's the case with the legendary session bassist Pino Palladino, whose bass is so special that the Custom Shop reproduced his '62 Precision Bass. This signature bass features a lightweight alder body, a C - shaped straight - grain maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, a custom - wound pickup, a tortoise shell pickguard, and Thomastik - Infeld® strings. Using this Fender Pino Palladino Signature Precision Bass is a breeze. First, take it out of the deluxe hardshell case. Put on the included strap and start tuning the bass using the American Vintage Reverse Open - Gear Bass tuning machines. Once it's in tune, you're ready to play. When you're done, don't forget to put it back in the case to protect it. For maintenance, keep the bass clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or fingerprints. Try to keep it in a stable environment, away from extreme temperatures and humidity, as these can damage the wood and the electronics. Every few months, check the strings. If they start to sound dull or lose their tension, it's time to replace them with new Thomastik - Infeld® Flatwounds. And if you're not sure about any part of the bass, refer to the certificate of authenticity or contact Fender's customer service.
