Using your Fender PM - 1 Limited Adirondack Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is easy. First, tune the guitar using the nickel open - back tuning machines with aged black buttons. You can use a tuner to get the right pitch. When playing, strum or pick the strings gently at first to get a feel for the tone. The Fender®/Fishman® PM System pickups allow you to connect to an amplifier if you want to play louder. For note - taking, the 20 frets with black dot inlays on the ebony fretboard make it easy to find your way around. As for maintenance, keep the guitar in its deluxe black hardshell case when not in use to protect it from dust and damage. Wipe the strings with a clean cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Check the tuning regularly, as temperature and humidity can affect it. Also, avoid exposing the guitar to extreme temperatures and high humidity, as this can damage the solid AA Adirondack spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. If you need to clean the body, use a soft, dry cloth and a little bit of guitar polish. And make sure to change the Fender® Dura - Tone® Coated 80/20 Bronze strings when they start to sound dull or lose their brightness.
