Fender Custom Shop is excited to present the Jerry Garcia Alligator Stratocaster, a true-to-life recreation of one of Garcia's most iconic guitars. Every aspect is painstakingly recreated, from the precisely measured one-piece ash body to the hammered brass control plate, replica pickguard, and body stickers. Handmade by Austin MacNutt in the Custom Shop, only 100 of these guitars are built to order. The three pickups are Josefina hand-wound '55-style single-coil Stratocaster pickups replicated from the original Alligator. It comes with five-way switching, standard vintage wiring, and replica 'hat' control knobs on a three-ply parchment pickguard. Premium features include a Relic® lacquer finish, a one-piece rift-sawn maple neck replicated from the original, a 7.25' fingerboard radius, 21 Medium Vintage frets, a custom brass bridge and tailpiece with a rosewood base plate, Schaller® M6 tuners, a disc string tree with a custom retainer bar, and a custom birdseye maple back plate. A custom hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity are included.
Using this Jerry Garcia Alligator Stratocaster is a breeze. Just plug it into your amplifier and start playing. The five-way switch allows you to easily change the sound combination of the pickups. When you're done playing, always keep it in the provided hardshell case to protect it from damage. To keep the guitar in good condition, regularly clean the strings with a soft cloth after each use. Wipe down the body and fretboard to remove dirt and sweat. Check the tuning machines regularly to make sure they're working properly. If you need to adjust the action or intonation, it's best to take it to a professional guitar technician. Enjoy making music with this amazing instrument!
