Using the BOSS SY - 200 is straightforward. First, connect your guitar or bass to the input jack. You can power it using either three AA batteries or an AC adaptor (sold separately). Once powered on, use the Type Knob to select from 12 analog - style synth categories, and the Variation Knob to choose different sounds within each category. The three adjustable parameter knobs let you customize the sound to your liking. Save your favorite sounds in one of the 128 memory slots using the Memory Knob.
